【Course Content】
You will be able to touch the shamisen and actually play a simple piece of music.
The shamisen is a typical Japanese musical instrument with a 400-year history.
It consists of a part that plucks the strings (body) and a part that holds the strings (neck). It has a structure similar to that of an acoustic guitar.
The three strings are plucked with a bachi. Striking the strings with a bachi produces a powerful sound.
There are many types of shamisen, and they are used in different genres. The larger the body, the louder the sound and the lower the range.
Enjoy each sound on the shamisen.
